OUR

Dedication and Call to Action

This Declaration is dedicated to the thousands of emerging black farmers and farm workers
who continue to till the soil despite historical dispossession and ongoing barriers, especially
those invulnerable sectors like sugar cane, where livelihoods hang in the balance due to
industry crises.

We honour their resilience and pledge to fight until justice prevails, fulfilling
the Freedom Charter’s promise of land, work, security, and shared prosperity for all.
We call on all South Africans, farmers, workers, government, civil society, and international
partners, to join the Izwi Labantu Land & Agriculture Association under the banner of Izwi
Labantu Forum.

The land question is central to our nation’s healing and future prosperity.
Together, we will transform dispossession into empowerment, silence into voice, and despair
into shared abundance. The voice of the people will not be silenced until the land is restored and agriculture thrives
for all, true to the Freedom Charter!
